 Bluestone is in the process of completing (March 2007) a 170,000 square foot restack/renovation project for one of the country's leading accounting firms. The five floor renovation portion of the work is being completed in downtown Philadelphia by Structure Tone, Inc. In order to meet the design standards of EIA/TIA specifications, Bluestone will build nine Telecommunications Rooms and one Server Room. The closets house the passive terminations for the horizontal and backbone infrastructure. Each closet is tied back to the Service Room with a total of 3,600 pairs of copper cables and a total of 108 strands of multimode fiber optic glass. Our skilled craftsmen will install, terminate, label, and test over 3,500 Category 6 and 5e horizontal station cables. These cables will be utilized for all voice and data applications. The video applications are being served by RG-6 coaxial cable. Bluestone is also providing floor by floor cutover services as Deloitte & Touche takes over the occupancy of each phased restacked floor.

 Bluestone recently completed a 5,500 square foot Tier 3 Data Center in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. Our skilled craftsmen completed a fully redundant central patching infrastructure with over 1,000 strands of 10-Gigabit laser optimized fiber optic glass. These cables were installed, terminated, labeled, and tested within the newly renovated expansion area, as well as, the active production areas in the existing data center. The entire installation was successfully accomplished within a 20 working day window.

 While under contract with Turner Construction Company, Bluestone utilized our experience and skill to provide installation services for the newly renovated space in Building 620 at the historic Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. During the construction, Bluestone was responsible for the fit-out of the Server Room and two Telecommunication Rooms (TRs). These rooms support the passive termination and active electronics that made Aker's voice and data applications operate successfully. Bluestone utilized multimode fiber optic cable to connect the TRs to the Server Room. Within the Server Room, Bluestone completed 240 Category 6 cable central patching scenario. This infrastructure allowed for a scalable connectivity solution between the Core switches and the file servers. Once these rooms had been completed, our craftsmen installed 465 Category 6 horizontal station cables to the work station areas. These cables facilitate connectivity of the Local Area Network (LAN) and voice applications. We tested each cable with the appropriate test equipment and provided these results as part of the As-Build Package. |
