The Outside Plant Group at Bluestone Communications installed a 48-strand, single mode outside plant fiber optic cable from the upper reservoir to the lower reservoir utility plant. Cable was installed along an existing 2.5 mile pole line located on First Energy’s Yards Creek facility. Along with the installation, Bluestone also completed all necessary fusion splicing, terminations and testing.
Bluestone technicians worked alongside parent company, Hatzel & Buehler, who provided a turnkey installation of an emergency standby distribution system consisting of two generators with associated transfer switches, propane tanks and enclosures.
