LaSalle University’s 130-acre main campus in Philadelphia includes 54 buildings and is located approximately six miles from Center City. The University can accommodate 2,114 resident students in its 12 residence halls, two apartment complexes, and 75 townhouses. By the summer of 2009, the 83,000-square-foot Holroyd Hall, featuring the Hugh and Nancy Devlin Center for Science and Technology will have expanded by 38,000 square feet to include laboratories, classrooms, and lounges with an environmentally friendly design, including a vegetative roof.
Bluestone Communication was subcontracted through Advanced AV Systems Integration to perform the installation of audiovisual systems in (46) rooms comprised of a Lobby/Community Lounge, classrooms and auditoriums.
The rooms were fitted with various configured audiovisual presentation systems that are capable of displaying computer and video media from dedicated and portable equipment. Some of the rooms were provided with a video conference and audio conference system. The rooms were provided with front screen projection systems and LCD displays. Control for AV presentation equipment was provided through the use of touch panels.
