Employees from Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications generously donated funds to support the American Red Cross and their disaster relief efforts.  The companies matched all employee donations, with a 100% matched donation.

Bluestone awarded contract for Comcast Innovation & Technology Center

Bluestone Communications was awarded IT and Acoustical packages throughout the new Comcast Innovation & Technology Center – a 1,500,000 square foot, 60-floor building (currently under construction) in Philadelphia, PA.   With a height of 1,121 feet, it will be the tallest building in Philadelphia and the ninth-tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. The building will consist primarily of office space, but will also include a newly constructed Four Seasons Hotel, television studios, a retail mall, a parking garage and a restaurant located on the top-floor of the building.

Bluestone’s overall scope of work includes the Installation of Structured Cabling, CATV infrastructure,  Fiber & Copper Backbone, Wireless Infrastructure,  Sound Masking and Network Hardware through-out over (40) floors that Comcast/ NBC will occupy beginning in the spring of 2018.

Bluestone performs expansion work at CHOP’s new Buerger Center for Advanced Pediatric Care

CHOP is expanding the Buerger Center for Advanced Pediatric Care building to build out floors 9-12. Bluestone Communications was awarded the Installation for the horizontal voice, data and coaxial cabling. Bluestone will also be working with CHOP’s vendor to install the Nurse Call system, Video Surveillance system, Access Control Systems and the Audio Visual system.

NECA recognizes Bluestone for Safety excellence

Bluestone Communications received special recognition from NECA for their excellence in safety, proudly receiving the “2017 Zero Injury” Award.

Bluestone completes additional work for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

Bluestone technicians recently completed work within the Medical Behavior Unit, at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  Bluestone’s overall scope of work included the installation of horizontal cabling, copper and fiber optic backbone cabling, security system equipment and cabling, equipment racks and cable runway, overhead paging system, nurse call system and an RTLS (real-time locating system).

In 1996, the Knollwood Community Center (located in Claymont, Delaware) was established.  The Community Center provides after school care, a summer day camp, and adult and family activities. The Center’s food closet was established in September 2004 and has become an invaluable source of outreach to the Community.  Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications executed a food drive to support the Community Center’s Holiday needs.

Bluestone provides installation services for the DNC’s Network Upgrade

In support of Verizon’s wireless network upgrades for the 2016 Democratic National Convention, Bluestone Communications served as the primary installation resource throughout Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center. The overall scope of work increased wireless capacity throughout the Wells Fargo Center – an arena large enough to seat over 21,000 people – by six times.

Bluestone and Hatzel & Buehler perform work in Philadelphia’s historic new Observation Deck

In an effort to expand the city’s tourism scene, Philadelphia’s One Liberty Place will open an interior observation deck on the 57th Floor of the building, with a private access elevator and on-floor dining. In partnership with parent company, Hatzel & Buehler, Inc., Bluestone Communications, will install all low voltage communications cabling throughout the space. Hatzel & Buehler will install high tech LED lighting throughout the space.

Bluestone completes multi-floor cabling project in Philadelphia’s Two Logan Square

Working directly for the Comcast Corporation, Bluestone Communications recently completed three floors at Two Logan Square in Philadelphia, PA. (Select floors throughout Two Logan Square operate as satellite office space to the Comcast Tower.) This project included the construction of a server room as well as the wiring of eight closets to support the installation of Category 6 and Coaxial cabling to over 800 workstation locations.

Additional scope of work included the installation of Copper and Fiber Backbone, a Sound Masking System, Audio Visual, Wireless Access Points and Network Gear, throughout each of the three floors.

Bluestone performs work in Comcast’s Tucson, Arizona call center

Working directly for the Comcast Corporation, Bluestone Communications recently completed one floor within Comcast’s temporary Call Center Space, in Tucson, AZ. This project included the construction of a server room to support the installation of Category 5e cabling to over 150 workstation locations.

Additional scope of work included the installation of a Fiber Backbone, Wireless Access Points and Network Gear.
