Hopewell Township, NJ

Capital Health System built a new hospital in Hopewell Township, New Jersey to replace the old Mercer Campus.  The new state-of-the-art center includes a 540,000 square foot six-story patient tower and a five-story atrium connected to a 320,000 square foot six-story Medical Office building that will house physician offices.

Bluestone Communications was awarded multiple contracts within the main hospital medical office building and central utility plant.  Overall project scope included all horizontal cabling, copper and fiber backbone and tie cabling, cable terminations, testing, racking, all pathways within the IDF locations, PBX Room and Data Center, the paging system and the Z-Band television system.

Bluestone was also contracted to design and install an In-Building Wirless System (DAS), which provided consistently functioning indoor radio frequencies for emergency responders, reliable patient tracking and wireless access to doctors at all times.  Multiple crews worked in tandem throughout the duration of this project.
