Treating over 1.2 million children a year in their fifty locations throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia was recently ranked #1, by US News and World Report, of the Nation’s Best Children’s Hospital. With 516 beds in their main hospital, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is home to world-renowned programs for cancer, cardiac care and fetal surgery.
Within the Main Hospital Campus, Bluestone Communications worked as part of the South Tower expansion project. On the 9th Floor, Bluestone installed over 870 horizontal station cables with station and closet termination hardware, a 48-speaker paging system including termination hardware and power supplies and the re-location of twenty existing speakers on the floor, throughout multiple phases of the project. Bluestone technicians also installed a Security System, a Nurse Call System and a Time-Clock System. The scope of work also included the demolition of existing cable throughout the ninth floor. This project was fast-tracked and completed within a four month time period.
