Delaware Department of Transportation – Indian River Inlet Bridge

Located in Sussex County, Delaware, the recently opened Indian River Inlet Bridge connects Dewey Beach, Delaware to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, crossing over the Indian River Inlet. The bridge is 2,600 feet long and 107 feet wide, carrying four lanes of traffic and a 12 foot wide pedestrian sidewalk. Once the bridge was completed, Bluestone Communications installed distribution fiber and backbone fiber, which allows communication to be fed to the traffic cameras and other such traffic devices on the roadway.
