Bluestone Communications and Hatzel & Buehler have teamed up to provide a “Power of One” experience at Hudson Yards in New York City, for long-time customer, Wells Fargo.  Bluestone is working with Hatzel and Buehler’s New York Office to provide and install the telecommunications infrastructure throughout the multi-floor, 675,000 square foot space, which Wells Fargo’s Corporate & Investment Banking Business will utilize as their new Corporate Headquarters.

Bluestone continues to expand their presence in the southern New Jersey, with new Healthcare project

Bluestone Communications has been selected to partner and install the telecommunications infrastructure, RTLS, nurse call, intercom and security/access control systems for Inspira Health’s new five story, 465,000 square foot hospital in Mullica Hill, New Jersey.

Viewpoint recognizes Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications with 2018 Technology Award

Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications were recognized by our corporate software partner, Viewpoint, with a 2018 Technology Award.  Award recipients “demonstrate innovative, forward-thinking approaches to technology, using Viewpoint solutions to solve important business challenges” (Viewpoint).  Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications received this honor in recognition of their successful, company-wide implementation of Spectrum (an ERP software).  Such implementation allowed the companies to improve overall processes and provide greater access to real-time data.

Bluestone’s national division completes work for Willis Towers Watson

Bluestone Communications was recently awarded a project for Willis Towers Watson, in Miami, Florida.  Willis Towers Watson is renovating their existing office space and Bluestone was engaged to install the horizontal Category 6 cable infrastructure, sound masking system and Audio Visual systems, throughout the newly renovated office space.

Hatzel & Buehler acquires the assets of J.P. Rainey & Company, Inc. 

Hatzel & Buehler, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has acquired the assets of J.P. Rainey & Company, Inc.  J.P. Rainey specialized in providing electrical services to health care providers in the Philadelphia Metropolitan area.  Among its leading clients were Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Main Line Health Systems, which includes such hospitals as Lankenau Medical Center, Bryn Mawr Hospital, Paoli Hospital, and Riddle Hospital.  The acquisition of J.P. Rainey will add to Hatzel & Buehler’s growing list of health care clients such as Inspira Health Networks, Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, Penn Medicine, Northwell Health, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and University of Michigan Health System.

Pittsburgh Office completes final phase of renovations throughout Two PNC Plaza

Bluestone Communications is currently completing the final renovations throughout Two PNC Plaza – which includes 7 floors and the lobby.  Bluestone technicians are installing category 6A cable to all work stations, audio visual media boxes and wireless access points throughout the floors.  Additional scope of work includes the installation of a new fiber and copper backbone to each new telecommunications room.  At the conclusion of this renovation phase, all 34 floors of the Plaza will be fully renovated.

Bluestone awarded maintenance contract for Thomas Jefferson University Hospital

Bluestone Communications was again awarded the on-site maintenance contract with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.  The maintenance contract includes all Thomas Jefferson center city campuses and surrounding areas.  Bluestone’s on-site technicians provide project management services, while overseeing all Moves/Adds/Changes (MAC) and general project work, for the twenty seven buildings on the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital campus.  Work is performed in office, hospital and educational facilities, requiring Bluestone technicians to work in environments involving patients, doctors, nurses, students and the general public.

Bluestone Technicians are also working on various projects at Aria Health (after the Thomas Jefferson acquisition of Aria Health).

Bluestone hires industry veteran and opens branch office in New Jersey

In an effort to better serve their existing New Jersey Customers – as well as establish new local relationships – Bluestone Communications has opened a branch office in South Plainfield, New Jersey. Steven Demcsak, a 25-year industry veteran to the New Jersey market, will oversee the new branch.  Steven’s long-time experience with premier financial, healthcare, and pharmaceutical institutions will help support and grow this new venture.

With 1.6 million man hours worked in 2017, Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications proudly ended the year with zero lost time injuries. Leveraging our multi-tiered safety team – functioning at the corporate, branch and field levels – Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications’ TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate) continues to be significantly less than the Electrical Industry standard.
