In 2017, Haverford College closed the Magill Library to begin renovations. The Magill Library will maintain certain architectural elements from the existing building which are important pieces of the heritage and history of Haverford College with the new portions of the building being built around them. Bluestone has been engaged to install the new fiber and cooper backbone cabling in the building, with three new IDFs, one BDF and horizontal cabling to support the building’s wireless and wired network locations. Bluestone was also asked to support Haverford with reworking the outside plant fiber and copper tie cabling that previously transversed and connected the existing Magill building to others on the Haverford College campus.
